ITSO Conducts Patent Information Search Training for Engineering Faculty Members

The Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) conducted a two-day training-workshop on Patent Information Search at the ICT Laboratory attended by the faculty members of the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) of the University.

The patent search training-workshop was conducted as a follow-up from the first seminar on the fundamentals of Intellectual Property and the Basics of Patent.

Engr. Jeffrey T. Dellosa, the current ITSO Manager, led the conduct of the two-day training-workshop with Dr. Rolyn Daguil, Mr. Henson Dejarme and Mr. Kenneth Ciudad, the Technical Experts of ITSO in CSU.

Topics covered in the Patent Information Search training were:

  • Talk #2: The Types of Patent Search. Speaker: Mr. Henson Dejarme 
  • Talk #3: The Patent Search Tools. Speaker: Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil
  • Talk #4: Classification of Patent Documents   Mr. Henson Dejarme

In between talks, there were several exercise given to all participants. Awards and free t-shirts were provided to participants with highest scores in the final exams making it a fun-filled activity.
